I'm actually annoyed that my server isn't down at the moment. They are supposed to be shutting off the building power at home for some of the sill ongoing fire restoration work but everything is still on. As usual the "restoration" (they get quotes because they have repeatedly proved they have no idea how to deal with a genuinely old building) company is behind schedule. These are, after all, the same guys who took over a month to resurface our 10'sq. balcony.

I'm betting that there will be a sign in the lobby stating that the power outage has been rescheduled for Wednesday, and that it won't happen then either. Whatever it is for, it'd be par for the course for them to actually get to it two weeks after they first said they would. And then they'll have to do it again two weeks later when they realize they fucked up the first time.
