My rule of thumb for when it is time to change is when fleeting thoughts like, "If I got hit by a car and broke a leg, I could get out of work for at least three days," run through my mind on the way to work on a regular basis. After two years here I'm not even close to that.

Date: 2003-12-01 11:27 pm (UTC)That's not to say I can't hold a job, just that something better always came along or something happened to put an end to what I was doing. I've been "downsized" once and fired once, in every other case the job either had a limited run or something else came along. My "career" has been a strange one, but with surpisingly few wrong turns.
