My lower back has been sore a lot lately and I've been puzzled as to why. Yesterday it was particularly bad and I spent the evening lying on the short couch with my feet up, concentrating on making the pain go away. This morning I noticed that the chair I park my butt in for seven hours a day had crept down to about 10 cm lower than it should be. This must have happened gradually since at no point did I notice that the height adjustment had changed. Now having raised the chair back up to where it should be my posture is magically improved. d'oh.

Such are the rigours of a desk job.
