neverletmedown got me started calling it the "Waffle Building" - until then I'd always referred to it by what it was built for, the MacBlo Building.
Vancouver is funny about renaming buildings (BTW, the "real" name the building goes by now is simply "1075 Georgia") - for example Chrysler hasn't owned the Chrysler building for decades, yet no one would think of renaming it.
i'll always call it the macblo building too...why would they rename it??? the marine building is still the marine building and it is hardly used for the same purposes it was originally intended...i always thought of it as the waffle building too...
