The idea here is to bold any state/province/territory you have set foot in, no matter how breifly. Flying over doesn't count. Driving through or taking a bus/train/whatever through only counts if you got out of the vehicle for whatever reason. Changing planes counts. Literally you have to have set a foot down on the ground.
