Periodically throughout the day I take a peek at my web logs just to keep tabs on things and make sure everything is working right. Today I noticed a peculiar number of hits against one of my pictures from New York on Elaine's site, but against her old (now redirected) URL. The only way that can happen is if someone has the image embedded in their web page. So I looked at the referrer and found it was coming from http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=minkoooo

For a moment I thought about just leaving a comment about it, but then I decided to have a little fun at the wanking bandwidth thief's expense.

it appears that he's changed the profile back so it no longer says WANKER, but your picture in the background is still there.

No, it was the picture a the top of the page (now gone) that was mine, which I exchanged for the mock profile. The picture in the background isn't mine (but he is ripping it off someone else) and I never changed his actual profile. It was just a replacement picture that was based on a screenshot of his real profile.

It appears he has now changed his user pic to one that doesn't have him standing in front of a wall of porn. Heh. I've helped to slighly de-yahoo, if only in a very small way, one wannabe-gangsta college kid.

I'm sorry now I didn't also make a crack about the crooked hat thing.
