I was not a happy camper yesterday. Elaine and I went over to Nick and Sandi's place Tuesday night, which was fun, but ending up getting home a bit late by our the-alarm-goes-off-at-6:18 standards so I woke up tired. And, against my better judgement because I wasn't fully recovered from the hell sinus headache I had Sunday, I foolishly had a cigarette at S&N's, so my head wasn't happy yesterday either. Tired and headachy work was annoying and nothing I coded quite worked like I wanted. I barked up about 14 wrong trees and got nowhere. There was the call from Barclay which left me feeling like no-one really gives a shit about the old building and I had lost control of the space I live in. By the time I got home I was feeling utterly defeated. Kris and Tanya invited us over for movies, but I didn't want to do go out anywhere, not to mention I had an odious task to perform. I spent the bulk of the evening last night moving my desk about one metre to the left for the sake of the new fire escape and the holes that it will require.

Today is going better. More later.

What with the flames dripping off their bills "like napalm off a kid's swingset" and all... that's scary stuff. Not so much the ducks themselves, but the backhanded implication that the average Weekly World News reader should know what napalm dripping from a kid's swingset looks like.
