A few minutes to kill

I've got a few minutes to kill before I bail out of here for the day. Last Friday and today I had pretty tolerable projects to work on and with only a few days left until payday I still have money in my pocket. God forbid, but I think I may be adjusting to all of this. Not that I have ever stayed interested in a job longer than two years, but things being as they are I may actually endure this long enough to get what I want to out of it.

but i was wondering if you could tell me how you put a background image up... i've asked a few people already, but no one is taking a few minutes from their busy schedule to help me out. also... how did you change the comment thing. i would be a very happy chica if you replied...

You do it in the "Modify Journal" section, in the big box marked "This is not where you update your journal". Then you set the LiveJournal variables you want to set. There is a list of variables you can set in the "Developer Area". You need to use CSS (I'm assuming you know a bit about it since you have rollover links in your journal) to set the background, and you'll need somewhere else to host the image. Here's what I've done to set up my background and change the reply thingie, just change the background URL and the messages to do what you want to do:
