Letter from the landlord

So after the incident with my upstairs neighbour I wrote a letter to the landlord. Things have been back to normal in terms of noise after I yelled at him and today I got this letter from the landlord. I love this building.

I am definitely well on the way to the cane-weilding fogey. My apartment is my sanctuary.

But as to picturing me angry... heh. I don't often get angry but when I do, run and hide. I can think of 7 incidents of times I have been really angry in the last 15 years. Three of those times were tearing strips out of noisy neighbours; one was directed at a former landlord for not doing something about the junk another tennant was piling in the driveway (would you believe I actually picked the man up by his shoulders and put him down facing the junk?!); another was toward a former employer for trying to stiff me for $11,000; one was the day my ex-wife said she was leaving (I threw my coffee mug at the door behind her - in retrospect I should have thrown it at her - and proceeded to smash all the wedding pictures); and one was when a room-mate skipped on the rent (in that case I stomped a wooden chair into kindling).

So there it is. I'm averaging about one justified spaz every two years.

whoo! i am in awe of your righteous anger (suddenly has that quotation from 'Pulp Fiction' running through her head...). i don't really get angry, although there have been times that a little yelling and smashing could have been a very useful thing. :}

however, being of the cane-shaking sort myself (yes, i do have a cane- and actually needed it for walking for a time) there is quite a bit to recommend it: anyone who calls you geezer 'accidentally' gets tripped. ;}
