The "Waffle Building" (1075 W. Georgia St.) is completely evacuated, the 1000 block of west Georgia and the 600 block of Thurlow are closed. There are four abulances, 3 ladder trucks, a HazMat truck and other assorted emergency vehicles around the building. CityTV seems to be the only people who have a news crew on the site. I have no idea what is going on, but I'll certainly be watching the CityTV news tonight.

The best theory they could put forth was that somebody's pepper spray went off. Sheesh.

Like I said to Sandi - maybe it was those awful burritos from the Royal Centre Mall food court.
