That lovely storm I just mentioned in the previous post-- the building I work in was actually *hit* by lightning and one of the UPS's in the server room fried. Everything is always set up "just in case", but this is the first actual "case" of being hit by lightning I've ever had to contend with.

I've been not twenty feet away from a lighting strike, and was looking right at the spot where it touched down ... crazy stuff.

That's what you get when you live in one of the highest elevation areas of Zimbabwe, which is *already* the lightning strike capital of the world before you even head up into the mountains ...

on the news they said someone was hit by lightning...
