Is it really so damn hard to actually read something? Is "Called fax device was busy. You can resend the undeliverable document to the recipients listed above by choosing the Resend button, " not clear enough?
Hi Michael...

We tried the new invoice faxing process yesterday, and most went through ok.  Some, however ,failed as per the example below.
My question is, what happens to these?  Does it try to re-send them automatically or will the sender have to do this (and if so, how?)

Thanks.

Your document:        [deletia]
To: [deletia]
Reason:        Called fax device was busy.

What should you do?
  • You can resend the undeliverable document to the recipients listed above by choosing the Resend button or the Resend command on the Actions menu.
  • Once you have resent the document you may delete this Delivery Failure Report.
  • If resending the document is not successful you will receive a new failure report.
  • Unless you receive other Delivery Failure Reports, the document was successfully delivered to all other recipients.

And people wonder why IT folk end up surly and bitter...

This person gets to wait for at least two more cups of coffee before I'll be ready to answer this without using the words "illiterate" and "idiot" and a lot of cursing.

Heh, bitter tech support people.

I could never to tech support, I'd end up going on a mass killing spree!

.. bad enough that my dad called me this morning telling me he had a computer problem, I asked what it was, he said his internet wasn't working, so he tried to "recover it" by sticking in the windows recovery disk and he reformatted his computer. He's like "Meighan help me, can you get my files back?" I told him I didn't think there was much I could do, and next time he should just call Shaw if his internet isn't working.

Fortunately I'm not tech support. I'm getting this because I wrote the e-mail to fax gateway for the invoicing system.

I should have called the user back and told them to call the help desk and explain they were having an "eye-dee-ten-tee"* error with the fax gateway.

yeh it's amazing how people just don't know how to use a fax machine...i mean that is pretty obvious...i love the blank documents because they put them in upside down...i usually just fax it back and say nothing came through, because it is usually someone's timesheet or overtime form at my work...and they wonder why they don't get paid sometimes...

OMG.

That's like being confused over spoiled milk because they didn't notice the "best before" date... DUH.
