Playing "Meet the Press" Yet Again

Last night I got a call from the Langara Voice and ended up doing another interview on everybody's favourite question, "what is goth?" I have a sneaking suspicion that this one will be the best one yet-- it's  a sad state of affairs that I have more faith in a student paper than the mainstream press...

I only ever read the newspaper articles online and within people's posts, so I don't think I have seen anything relating to the "pill bug" reference... what's the deal with it?

Like my talking to the Globe and Mail, Issac, Aaron, Sandy, Nick and Graeme in the Sun, Winston in the Globe and Mail and CTV, Isaac on CBUFT, etc., etc., was a community hiding from the press.

The pill-bug is now the official mascot of Gothic BC. All hail the mighty pill-bug.

That's a scream! True the local community didn't exactly "hide" from the media, but I do wonder at the self-importance evident in the "pill-bug" comment made by The Province.

How dare anyone be somewhat trepidatious at the thought of speaking to the press...
