Jan. 12th, 2005 05:09 pmI've been given an eight-month working extension (September 9th will be my last day), which if I finish it, I will get a bonus of 10% of my salary for those eight months plus a four-month severance for a total of 4.8 months pay. Basically I have 2005 covered. That is more income security than I have ever had. I consider this the last gasp of decency coming out of the old company that I was hired into. If I had been asked to stay on permanently I would have had to have moved to Vernon. This is infinitely more preferable. My vacation time will be pro-rated for the portion of the year I will be working, which gives me two weeks vacation between now and September 9th. That puts me in good stead for a week at Convergence 11 and a week in NYC some time before
