What you are seeing here is a "uranium glass" vessel made in Bohemia in the 19th century. The green colour comes from including uranium dioxide in the glass, and because of the uranium the stuff glows, especially under black light. How cool is that? Something like this would be ideal for both absinthe and gin-and-tonic.

i noticed your glass and my friend told me that it is called vaseline glass, he has a case full of about 30 pieces of it (under a black lite) he says your glass is unusual he has never seen one like it and would like to know how much you got it for....

Yes, vaseline glass is another name for the same stuff. The glass in the picture isn't mine, though. It's a picture from a museum. I only just found out about the stuff when I made this post.
