When I was a starving musician I used to live on beans and fruit pies. The drugstore around the corner (on Granville between 13th and 14th) used to have dented cans of beans for $.89 and fruit pies for $1.25 -- that's all I ate so I could spend all my money on music equipment.

Funny, now I have lots of money, but I don't spend much time on music...

Beans will always have a soft spot in my heart.
