So yet another job posting in Melbourne today. So far I haven't seen a blessed thing in Vancouver short of some opportunities I'm carving out for myself. Toronto isn't out of the running yet, but there certainly doesn't seem to be as much for me there as there was three years ago. I'm seeing lots of stuff in New York, but the immigration is an impediment. I'm going ahead with both Australian and New Zealand immigration regardless, having proper permission to live and work in those countries lined up in advance is only going to help my search. With the U.S. I really should push ahead with my "American born abroad" status that I discovered I might be entitled to a few years back. Dual citizenship with be a big plus.

It seems that between a job search spanning four countries and the associated immigration/citizenship hassle, following through on the alternate plan of the store, the Convergence bid suddenly picking up steam, and finally having some work to do at work that I've got no shortage of things to do. So why is it that I constantly feel like I'm doing nothing at all?

Maybe because you'd rather be doing something else?

Yes, but the police frown on people who climb clock towers with rifles.

Maybe its cause you want to hang out with me and take over the world *laughs menacingly* ;)

It would be quite confronting moving all the way to another hemisphere - does it concern you at all uprooting your life like that?

I get to take the best part (http://valerian.livejournal.com) with me, so it's not that daunting.

Besides there are other perks, everyone will be so enchanted with my funny not-American, not-British, where-the-hell-is-he-from? Vancouver Island accent that it take them at least a couple years to figure out what a huge asshole I am. In the interim I'll be exotic and interesting.
