At the moment I am sitting in the terminal at the Kelowna airport and I am bored out of my mind. There is only so much surfing I can do on my Blackberry. I've read my friends list repeatedly. The only television is in the bar area but the barmaid is unbelievably shrill and won't shut up.

I seem to be the only male here under 60 not wearing a baseball cap or a hoodie. And that's not to say there aren't men over 60 wearing baseball caps, just that there happens to be two that aren't.

I have safely returned to civilisation. I had to sit next to someone wearing a pink sweatsuit with white trim and a matching pink vinyl handbag with white trim that looked more like a bowling ball bag than a purse to do it. What the hell was she thinking? Refugee from a bowling alley chic? She paid her karmic debt though - we hit turbulence and the stewardess spilled orange juice on the lap of those pink sweatpants.
