Reference Needed

I need someone who has known me for a minimum of two years to be a reference for a passport application. You'll be contacted by Canada Customs, probably a daytime phone call, as one of the two refereces required in addition to the guarantor. Any volunteers?

I think I could probably have used you, the form has a space for "Country" on the referece, but I'm going with Larry since he is in the same time-zone and chained to a federally owned desk all day.

Thanks. I'm going with Larry. Let me know when you need the favour returned, though (actually if you don't have a passport already you should beat the rush and get one, they'll be required to enter the States within the next couple years).

For the U.S. passport, all you need is your birth certificate, a photo id, a picture, and $80. (Though I've heard a rumor they've raised the prices substantially) No background checks that I'm aware of --- but then again, things could have changed after 911. I got mine before 911.

well, I woulda written you one (and that applies to Kim as well) if needed...remember, I work in the Customs field, and henceforth the government already knows ALL about me (have a file with external affairs)..and I already have a passport.
