Jack'o'lanterns. For a change I decided to do something more "classic" this year rather than my creations of the previous few years. I'm never really going to top "Peter Pumpkin Murphy" anyway... And just because I can:

Jack'o'lanterns in infra-red.

When I finagled a way to bring Aaron on board the Sanctuary Hallowe'en parties fully and wrangle budgets from the club to pay for him to do the decorations for the whole club's week of Hallowe'en parties was when the scale of production possibilities went up by ten and they started to go from really good to utterly legendary. It's a great combination of effort and even though every year he and I look at each other and think, that's it, we'll never be able to top this ----- we always do!

That being said, I really -don't- think we'll be able to top this next year. Sonar was -very- enthusiastic, generous and helpful towards building the Hallowe'en parties this year and we had the highest budget for decoration ever. This also turns out to be the last night under the new owners before a new owner takes over and turns it into more of an all-hip hop club on the other nights, and even if we end up staying in the long run who knows if they'll be as into Hallowe'en next year as the current owners were this year. Or, we'll be at a new club. Either way it's unlikely we'll be able to stage as full-blown a production as tonight!

So, what it all adds up to is : GET YOUR ASSES OUT TONIGHT! It' is going to be -amazing-!

Figures that everyone would get enthusiasm for carving pumpkins the year I cancel the contest at the Sanctuary Hallowe'en party from utter lack of interest last year. Maybe I'll bring it back next year if enough people ask about it. More people have asked about it this year than actually bothered to participate last year. Last year my choices for the two prizes for best jack-o-lanterns were .... the two that people brought down. Lame.

Lex has carved pumpkins of me and Graeme! DJ Pumpkinmonium? Jesus Lardy. The girl is NUTS!
