Well, That Sucked

I just had to tell the one person that's been looking out for me through all this merger, hostile take-over, and related crap that I won't be available to extend or renew my contract because I have a new job starting immediately on the heels of the current contract.

When I started typing this two minutes ago I felt bad about it. Since I started typing I got a call that I need to speak to "The Doctor" (i.e. the guy that puts "MCSE" [For NT4 no less!!] after his name like it is a Ph.D.) because despite having spent I think about three hours with him going over a problem with SharePoint not importing from the Active Directory like M$ claims it is supposed to, he just told my boss that "he doesn't know enough about the problem" to take it up with Microsoft. Idiot. He was the one that was championing this dog's breakfast of a product in the first place. This project is going to crash and burn and it is going to be his fault.

Heh... sounds like you and I are having some entertaining times leaving our current job/contract.

MCSE NT4... that's funny. Part of my new job is actually migrating away from NT4 on a couple servers... time to dust off some old textbooks :-P
