The fun is just starting with the collapsed excavation on Pender. The 1200 block of West Pender remains closed since a good chunk of it is missing. The 500 block of Bute (I live on the 600 block) is closed. Traffic on Georgia Street is near gridlock and a lot of people still have today off. The developers are going to have to pay for the repairs:
Here we see some guys running replacements for the cabling that was severed (I'm glad I'm not on one of the fibre runs that was ripped out!). |
