Sinkhole Fun!

The fun is just starting with the collapsed excavation on Pender. The 1200 block of West Pender remains closed since a good chunk of it is missing. The 500 block of Bute (I live on the 600 block) is closed. Traffic on Georgia Street is near gridlock and a lot of people still have today off. The developers are going to have to pay for the repairs:

Here we see some guys running replacements for the cabling that was severed (I'm glad I'm not on one of the fibre runs that was ripped out!).

This is no small job. And this is just the temporary jury-rigging.

the music on the developer's site is annoying to say the least...i'm glad they have to pay for it though...
