My first stereo night-club photograph made at Sanctuary on March 5th. This is scanned from the negative (I didn't trust the photo finisher to deal with the 5p format pictures properly, and judging from the index card, I was wise to not to). The film I used was cheap Konica Centuria 400 ISO colour print film since I wasn't sure if the camera had any light-leaks. The exposure is somewhere between ½ and ¼ second (the control on the camera is not precise) at f3.5. As I experiment more with this expect the quality of the images to improve. Another limiting factor is this is a GIF animation, GIF images being limited to 256 colours.

Stay tuned. There are  more coming from this roll.

I also tried an experiment with tweening the frames. This adds considerably to the file size so the tweened image is behind the cut. Let me know which you prefer.

With tweening:

I don't mind at all. My journal is here to be read.

it's interesting, but the pre-tweened stereoscopic image looks more stereoscopic, at least so on my computer, which admittedly by now probably classifies as vintage 20th century art in itself.

I *think* I like the tweening better...it's easier to see slower. However, the faster version makes it look more 3D because it's going quickly. I just don't like the jerkiness of the fast one.

So...overall I vote YAY tweening! :P
