Here's an Amusing Thought

One of my job listings came back with a posting from Barrick Gold. It was an accounting job that I'm not qualified for, but it does turn out that they have an tech environment that my experience would fit nicely into. It occurs to me that my surname would pretty much guarantee my CV would get some attention and not get shuffled to the bottom of the pile, even if I submitted with no particular job posting in mind. I shall keep this idea in reserve for a few months until I see how my reclassification goes at my current job.
