You should see the enourmous screens they have put up now (that's what the scaffolding was there for when I made this image). They're like something from Times Square... gaudy as fuck.
EW I used to LOVE Granville and Robson. It had all my fave stores other than Zulu records. Ah, those were the days...I need to find a new downtown area to haunt.
When the new LRT line to Richmond is done and the stop is there it is going to lose all the remaining character is has and become just like Robson between Burrard and Jervis - and outdoor version of Metrotown. It's funny watching areas change and shift around. After all, Main & Hastings was the swank centre of town up until the 1950's.
I've actually done a fair bit of experimenting with different speeds and tweening. Everyone is different, so there is no "right" speed, but 1/10 of a second works best for most people. Any slower and the perception of 3D loses its punch for a lot of people, which defeats the purpose. Personally I find a lot faster, 1/100 of a second and faster, extremely interesting, but most people can't see that well either.
