A Short Example on How To Get People to Look at You Like You Just Sprouted a Second Head with the Effective Use of Obscure Trivia

Today I was attending a meeting in Port Moody city hall's Brovold Room, which if you look at the icon with this post, is the room in the circular tower over city hall. The room has a balcony most of the way around it. Before the meeting officially started I was chatting with some co-workers about how the balcony is under-utilized. My suggestion of cat-flinging came, apparently, from somewhere outside the realm of common knowledge.

That sort of thing happens to me once in a while... usually when I become overly-animated when describing some "disturbing" film I have seen, or book I have read. I know it's time to stop talking when I realize the look of horror on people's faces.

I find it incredibly entertaining.
