So the buses are running again today. I took a bus to work for the very first time today, since the strike started before I started this job. It was a bit of a treat because it was decidedly faster (by about 10 minutes) and I rode on an articulated bus for the first time ever. There are downsides to the buses running again, however. Once again I have to contend with people at the bus stop watching me drink juice from the jug with bed-head and wearing the zillion year old, ripped Sisters of Mercy T-shirt I sleep in. Remember that Twilight Zone episode where Roddy McDowell ends up as the human in a Martian zoo? Yeah. That's me. The other downer is I can't leave my big window open when I'm not home because all the lowlife peices of dreck will go back to robbing the West Side again instead of West Vancouver. And I am really not looking forward to Wednesday night - fireworks and free buses, ugh .

welcome to my world- muahahaha!

seriously, if there was ever a bus strike here i don't know what i would do- ride a bicycle i suppose. there is a train but it seems rather extravagant for such a short trip- although it's nice to know it's there if needed. come to think of it, there is no way i would ride my bike to work in the morning- not in long skirts! *offeres up prayers to the bus gods*

my apologies- for some reason my spelling has been terrible today- i must remember to spellcheck!

secondly- articulated buses give me nightmares, even before that dinosaur movie. i feel terribly insecure in them.
