Making the most of a crappy day

I've been poking around at flight information to NYC. It looks like it's going to cost me about $600 (Canadian) for a round trip ticket from Vancouver. That's better than I was expecting. It would be somewhat cheaper to fly round trip from Seattle, but that is just a huge bloody hassle, especially since most of my friends don't have cars and I am not going to spend eight hours on a bus (four there, four back) just to save $180.

So this is what life is like with a steady income? Cool.

my flight was only $420 canadian from vancouver direct to ny when i went in 99 :P

Inflation, I guess. That *was* two years ago and fuel is a lot more expensive now.
