Personally I wish I had never upgraded from 3.11, it was just as wonderful as 3.0 but with the added network capability. Curses to upgrading Win95.

Though I have to admit that Word Perfect 9 is much better than the WP 5.1 which was the first version made for Windows. It came with the 5 1/4" and 3 1/2" discettes.

Well, if you want it...

I still have copies of Windows 3.0, 3.1, and 3.11 kicking around too. But, hey, my "monitor stand" is (and has been for years) an IBM MS-BASIC v1.10 Manual and an IBM Personal Computer Guide to Operations v2.02 from 1982 and 1983 respectively.

What's really fucked up is sometimes this crap still comes in handy. I seriously had to scrounge up a GW-BASIC interpreter just last year for a project I had!

ImageSome of my obsolete skills, programming-wise, include (in chronological order):

Commodore BASIC (1977)
Apple BASIC (1979)
MS/GW BASIC (1980)
65xx series CPU assembly code (1982)
Turbo Pascal (1983)
X-Talk scripting language (1989)
Modula-2 (1990)

Yeah. If you need a Commodore Pet/64/VIC-20 programmed, in BASIC or on a machine-code level, I can do it. Yup. That's just got the work pouring in....

My life in BASIC
