This was composited from two photographs as a means to deal with the difficult exposure problem presented by the dark foreground and the brightly lit building in the background. Then digital effects were applied to change the level of detail in the photograph.

You know I really wanted to get into photography because I wanted to create images that could really speak. I wanted to create a photograph of my own to draw or paint from, and I met an amazing photographer, I went to work with him, got a job at a camera shop that he was a manager for, and I could not believe how disappointed I was! I did not have the patience to learn all of the technical stuff. I have a great sense of composition, and can get amazing shots, but I might as well just be a tourist with a point and shoot. Am I doomed with a strict creative mind? How do you do it? I am in awe of artists that can utilize both creativity and logical technical thinking. Maybe it's just patience, ar maybe I just don't have it. I never could figure it out.
