It Was a Beautiful Day Today

What do you think this truck is doing? |

If you answered, "Washing the street," you are wrong. |

Then there is this guy with the hose. He's doing the same thing as the truck. |

They are ensuring the street in the background of this rain scene (note the "rain" spraying out of the nozzles hanging from the crane) looks wet and rained on. Nothing like having unusually sunny weather on the day you scheduled to shoot the "rain scene". Someone, somewhere, woke up this morning, looked out the window and said, "Aw, crap! It's a nice day." |

Date: 2005-03-14 08:09 am (UTC)EXPLANATION: To keep the traffic from kicking up the dust at the festival they started watering down the roads with these water trucks.
that would drive up and down the roadswith a constant water stream,.
well-three days in the moistureless dusty desert without a shower can change a persons views on the whole public-nudity..and following one othe these trucks and taking a shower off the spraying water would feel SOOOOOO good. It would also be an increadible site as naked ravers would pour out from the campsites by the dozens to chase down these trucks for
their shower like a pied piper for naked freaks. In some cases people would be sooo desparate to get a shower they would forget that water + dust = mud and mud is slipplery - they would run out to get a shower and slip in the mud and wipe out.
So Picture a truck spraying water driving by slowly chased by a couple of dozen crazy nudists leaving a trail of slightly dazed and confused clay covered (it dried that fast) nudists in its wake.
good times...
