Yesterday's putz realtor must have seen that her ad was changed, it was deleted and reposted today - but it was reposted with the same attempt to hotlink my picture. She now has three ads pointing to the same picture:

I think the opposite, she is likely spamming the forum with her ad with no attention to detail and not reviewing it before posting.
This is even better! It means craigslist is probably not the only place... hehehe!

Craigslist would be the only place. It's a redirect, I didn't replace the image itself, and I am only redirecting referrals to this image from newyork.craigslist.org.

I don't actually used craigslist. If you want to recommend this to the best-of list, feel free.

I can imagine what is happening. The fact that it is redirect is probably confusing the hell out her, if she is even aware of it. If she goes to the page she is ganking the picture from, it's fine. If she puts the URL of the image in her brower directly, it's fine. The redirected picture only shows if the request comes from Craigslist, only when she checks her ad (assuming she checks them), she's probably got the picture she wants locally cached and it looks fine to her.

I think you should go for it. You could say: "I *LOVE* the view of the rock-climbing wall, so rugged, so realistic. Please contact me ASAP as I would love to come for a viewing." Now, being that her original picture didn't have any rock-climbing walls in it, that would get her thinking. Assumming she *is* thinking, that is. She then might go look at the ad and see the fabulous crumbling wall of urban rubble that you were likely referring to. LOL!!

she removed tghe one from the other day, so she's got to know something is wrong. as to why she keeps at it though, i couldn't tell you. she could take her damned flashy realtor's cell phone out and take a photo, for gods' sakes.

Although my curiousity asks: even if the pictures never got changed and was the original one she hot linked from you, how in the hell would she sell the "room" in the "apartment" if it's not really what she states it is?

The picture she was hotliking to was a view of Downtown from a popular shopping area a little like Granville Island. Same sort of idea as when realtors here show pictures of the city and mountians and prattle about "unparalled city and mountain views" (unparalled that is, except by the other 100,000 apartments with north-facing windows).
